Bead clutter….we all have it. A mish mashed tangle of leftovers supplies for projects never finished or even started. Supplies that you have had and held on to for so long you don’t remember where, why, or how you got them. That “new” color you bought and then later discovered you already own 4 tubes.
This extra curricular challenge is a great way turn all those bits and pieces into a finished piece of jewelry!
** HOW TO PARTICIPATE **
1) At our regular September’s meeting, bring a clear plastic bag of beads, findings, wire, string, crystals, or any other thing you feel would work well as a piece of jewelry. Please be sure to include a enough beads for a project. If you include 4 to 5 beads, you are most likely to end up with a pair of earring.
2) We will then transfer your supplies into a brown paper bag with your name, sizes, and finding preferences. 3) Participating members will then draw from the box of brown paper bags. 4) Over the next 3 months, use the contents of your newly obtained mystery bag of goodies into a piece of jewelry that you yourself, would be proud to wear of give as a gift. You may add from your own supplies, but try to use as many of the furnished supplies from your mystery bag. 5) Bring your finished project to the DECEMBER member meeting. We will return the your beautiful creations and leftover supplies to the original owners of the bags.
* EVERYONE WHO BRINGS A BAG WILL RECEIVE A FINISHED PIECE OF JEWELRY *
